Truck Accident Kills Madiera Beach Man

Tire blowout causes fatal truck accident on I-75 near Ellenton FL.

A truck driver form Madeira Beach died at the scene of a truck accident in Ellenton on I-75 the Florida Highway Patrol reports. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when the driver of the truck, Scott Hinchliffe, 46, of Madeira Beach, was driving on interstate 75 when a front tire had a blow out causing the truck to hit the overpass at Erie Road and violently turnover.

Mr. Hinchliffe was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the truck causing him to receive fatal injuries and die at the scene of the crash.

The violence of the crash also hurled debris onto the road way covering 3 traffic lanes. Luckily no other vehicles were caught up in the crash however the southbound lanes were temporarily closed and the truck incurred $50k in damage
