Motorcyclist In Serious Condition After Hit-And-Run Crash

FHP reported a motorcyclist was seriously injured after a hit-and-run accident in Bradenton on U.S. 41.

The injured man, Mark Holt from Binghamton, N.Y., was brought by first responders to Manatee Memorial Hopital in serious condition. The colliosn took place just prior to 9:00 in the morning on Wednesday, and the car responsible sped away from the accident scene after hitting the motorcyclist.

Witnesses stated to the Florida Highway Patrol officers that the motorcyclist was traveling in the center lane when a car, possibly a maroon Toyota Scion, merged left from right lane and crashed into the motorcycle.

The force of the collision threw Holt from his motorcycle and the motorcycle slid to a stop on Tamiami trail in the left lane.

The right side of the car impacted the motorcycle and witnesses reported that the car sustained windshield and driver side door window damage.

Troopers asked anyone with knowledge of the Scion or it’s driver to contact the.
