Car Vs. Semi Crash Kills Woman From Arcaidia

Florida Highway Patrol reported a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer resulted in the death of a woman from Arcadia.

The accident happened when the a 2001 Lincoln Town Car traveling on the northbound lanes for reasons unknown swirved into the southbound side directly into  the path of the commercial truck and crashed just north of Glendine Avenue.

 While the driver of the truck, Christopher Perina from North Port was wearing a seat belt and unharmed, however, Kaia Cross, the driver of the Town Car, was not wearing her seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders took more than three hours to remove Cross from the wreckage and clear the roadway.
