Woman in Wheelchair In Critical After Being Struck by A Car

Florida Highway Patrol reported a car struck a roadside gate injuring a woman in a wheelchair in Bradenton.

The accident happened when Linda Burns a 63 year-old diabetic lost consciousness while driving a Chevy Impala east on 57th Ave. East.

Apparently she passed out suffering from diabetes and drifted off the road.

The sedan crashed into a gate flinging the gate open causing the gate to smash into Denese Perry, a fifty one year old from Bradenton, sitting in her wheel chair near by the gate. The car also collided with Perry as momentum carried it further down the side of the road.

Perry was taken by first responders to Blake Medical Center and police stated that no charges have been filed against the driver of the car.
