Manatee Avenue Crash Kills Bicyclist in Bradenton

Bradenton Police reported a deadly crash between a bicyclist and a car early Wednesday morning.

The crash took place when cyclist 44 year old Timon J. Morales of Bradenton Beach, was riding near Manatee Avenue West. At roughly quarter till four in the morning, Morales attempted to cross Manatee Ave. at the 12000 block and road directly into the path on an oncoming car.

While the driver of the car has not yet been identified, the vehicle was described as a Hyundai Elantra that was driving east at the time of the accident. Morales was declared dead at the scene of the accident, and the driver of the car that hit him sustained minor injures during the crash. The driver received treatment from Blake Medical Center before being released. As police have stated because Morales was at fault in the deadly crash no charges have been filed on the driver.
