Motorcyclist Injured After Crash With Pinellas County Detective

Authorities reported an accident involving a motorcyclist and a detective from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash took place as twenty year old Eli Ulibarri was riding his Honda motorcycle approaching 62nd Ave. N on Martin Luther King Street.  At the same time, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Detective Joe Miner pulled onto Martin Luther King Street from a driveway, driving an unmarked Buick LaCrosse.

Ulibarria attempted to avoid the crash by braking hard, however the motorcycle went into a slide and crashed into the sedan.

Despite wearing a helmet, Ulibarri sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported by first responders to an area hospital.
