Bradenton Crash Seriously Injures Pedestrian

Florida Highway Patrol reported a crash with injuries in Bradenton Sunday night.

The accident happened as seventy-three year old Joseph Evans Junior from Palmetto was approaching the intersection of U.S. 301 and 15th Street.

At the same time fifty-nine year old pedestrian, William Christoper from Bradenton was walking along the edge of fifteenth street east as Evans approached.

At roughly 10:p.m. Evans attempted to turn onto 15th street east from U.S. 301 in his Ford F-150 pick up truck. As Evans drove onto 15th St.E. Christoper walked directly into his path and was struck by the pickup truck.

First responders took Christopher to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation.
