Harley Davidson vs SUV Crash Kills Man From Port Charlotte

Florida Highway Patrol reported a motorcyclist was killed when his Harley Davidson collided with a Toyota 4 Runner Monday night.

motorcycle crash englewood flThe accident took place just east of Englewood as a Toyota 4Runner SUV with 2 small children as passengers were northbound on Gasparilla Road approached the intersection with Keystone Blvd. A motorcyclist in the southbound lanes of Gasparilla Road attempted to turn left onto Keystone across traffic but failed to see the oncoming SUV.

The resulting crash gravely injured the motorcyclist, George Souza, a 64-year-old from Port Charlotte. Souza was taken to Englewood Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. FHP troopers said Souza was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and that all of the passengers in the SUV, were wearing seat belts and are uninjured.

Charlotte Car Crash Fatal For Bradenton Man

McCall Rd Winchester CrashGuillermo Gonzalez died Thursday Morning at Englewood Community Hospital of injuries resulting from a car crash.

Florida Highway patrol released the following details; the accident happened on McCall Road and Winchester Boulevard around 9:00 a.m.

Gonzalez, driving a 2006 Chevy Corvette attempted to enter the eastbound side of McCall Road from Winchester Blvd, but turned directly in front of oncoming traffic.

Gonzalez collided with a 2008 Toyota SUV driven by 64 year old Brandon Crain Murphy, from North Port. Both men where wearing seat belts and Murphy was not injured in the crash.

FHP is still investigating the accident.



Scooter Crash Injurs Englewood Man

Florida Highway Patrol reported an Englewood man was in serious medical condition after a scooter accident that happened Saturday

The injured man, Clell D. Colegrove, 84 of Englewood for reasons unknown failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the roadway while heading south down Bayshore Drive near Lemon Ave.

The resulting crash caused Colegrove a head injury and he was later taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.

FHP also noted Mr. Colegrove was wearing a helmet.
