A hit and run motorcycle crash involving a pick up truck is being investigated by Police in Tampa.
Authorities have stated that the crash took place close to the intersection of West Sligh Avenue and North Rome Avenue. Just prior to 9:00 p.m. a motorcyclist riding on N Rome Ave. was hit by a pickup truck.
After colliding with motorcyclist, the driver of the pickup continued down N Rome Avenue fleeing the crash scene.
The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital in Tampa by the fire department.
Tampa Police are investigating the hit-and-run and have asked anyone with knowledge of the crash to call them at 813-931-6500.
Florida highway patrol announced a hit and run accident with injuries on U.S. 41 in Bradenton.
The crash took place when twenty-seven year old Santier Gibson of Bradenton was driving his Lincoln Navigator south on U.S. 41 approaching the intersection with 49th Avenue Drive West.
At fifteen minutes before 10:00 p.m. the full sized Lincoln Navigator SUV was slammed into by a Honda CRV compact SUV. The Honda, which had for reasons unknown lost control, crashed into the right front of the Lincoln and careened off the heavier vehicle sending the CRV spinning into traffic in the northbound lanes. At the same time a Nissan Altima heading north on U.S. 41, was struck by the Honda CRV as it spun into the northbound lanes.
Despite having sustained serious damage the Honda CRV was able to fee the site of the crash.
The crash left Gibson, the driver of the Lincoln seriously injured and he was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Altima, 24 year old Eduardo Lopez of Sarasota, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Florida Highway Patrol reported a hit and run collision between a scooter and a full-sized Ford SUV.
The crash took place as a twenty-nine year old male was riding south on U.S. 41 at roughly 10:30p.m.
North of the intersection of River Road and 41 the motor scooter was struck from behind by a driver in a Ford Expedition SUV.
The force of the impact threw the rider from his motor scooter onto the shoulder of U.S. 41. The impact seriously injured the downed rider.
The crash sandwiched the scooter under the SUV, where it became lodged and dragged down the road for more than 1,000 feet. Witnesses said the SUV came to a stop and the drive got out, pulled the smashed scooter from under the vehicle and then proceeded to flee the scene.
The helmetless injured scooter rider was brought to Sarasota memorial for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities are seeking information about the driver of the SUV and have asked anyone with knowledge to contact them at 941-751-8350.
Florida Highway Patrol announced a Sarasota County traffic signal worker was seriously injured in a hit and run incident in Nokomis Sunday night.
The accident took place at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Roberts Road in Nokomis at roughly fifteen after 11p.m.
Witnesses described a white Ford Taurus that struck traffic signal worker Robert Smith as he was working on a job site standing partially in closed turn lane by the southbound lanes at the Roberts Road, Tamiami Trail intersection.
The car was last seen fleeing the crash scene driving east on Lakeview Drive.

Florida Highway Patrol announced a hit and run accident that took place Sunday evening on Venice Boulevard.
The incident happened shortly after 10:00p.m. when forty six year old Dawn Hinton from Venice was walking in near the 300 Block on Venice Blvd, when she was hit by a car.
The force of the collision tossed Hinton the roadway were she came to rest in a seated position. Fortunately Hinton’s injuries were minor and she received treatment at Bayfront Medical Center.
The car that struck Hinton did not stop and left no tire marks at the scene. No description of the vehicle is available.
Florida Highway Patrol arrested a man after a hit and run crash in Manatee County. The man, identified as 32 year old Luis Luna-Castillo from Bradenton has been accused of leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.
The Crash took place Sunday night when Rosemarie Cooper, a 68 year old from Bradenton was driving south in Ford Escort on 50th Avenue West when just prior to 9:30p.m. Luna-Castillo, who was driving in the northbound lanes in a Dodge Durango, swerved into the path of Cooper where the two vehicles crashed head-on.
While both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, Cooper was seriously injured by the collision.
Luna-Castillo ran from the crash site and attempted to hide from authorities but was found by Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
First responders too Cooper to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for treatment of serious injures.
A child and two adults were injured crossing a road when they were struck by a hit and run driver.
Florida Highway Patrol stated that the accident occurred in south Venice when a group of pedestrians including a minor and two adults were attempting to cross Cypress road, near the intersection of Bonita Road at roughly 6:40 p.m. Sunday night.
The minor and one adult was hit directly by a White Jeep Cherokee heading north on Cypress Road. All three pedestrians were knocked down by the impact and were injured by the crash.
The Jeep continued on fleeing the scene.The injured pedestrians were taken to Sarasota Memorial for medical treatment of their injuries.
