Car Accident Sends Englewood Man To Lee Memorial For Injuries

An accident at McCall Road (State Road 776) and Regina Drive resulted in one man going to the hospital Sunday morning.

A car accident at McCall Rd and Regina Drive resulted in Terry Brett Hutchison, 50, of Englewood being injured. According to the Florida Highway patrol the accident occurred at about 5:08 a.m. when the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck made a left turn onto Regina drive. Unfortunately The driver of the pick up, David R. Edmonds did not see an oncoming car approaching.

Terry Brett Hutchison, 50, of Englewood, was driving the oncoming car when it collided with the pick up truck driven by Mr. Hutchison causing the car t o rotate before crashing into the guard rail on the south side of McCall road and continuing into a roadside ditch.

Mr. Hutchison was later taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The FHP also said Mr. Edmonds received a citation for violation of right-of-way.
