Interstate Highway 75 Closed By Fuel Tanker Crash In Punta Gorda
Southbound Traffic on I-75 was halted when a fuel tanker overturned in Punta Gorda
According to The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office the accident occurred south of the Jones Loop Road exit around 6 a.m. The accident has resulted in no injuries however fuel is leaking. Apparently the tanker truck was carrying 6,000 gallons of diesel and over 1,200 gallons of gasoline.
FHP and the Charlotte County Sherriff’s office have rerouted traffic down 41 while the accident is cleaned up.
