Two injured in Sunday morning accident
Two people are in serious condition at Lee Memorial Hospital after a car crash in Charlotte County.
Early Sunday morning at around 12:40 a.m Deborah L. Pierce, 45, of North Port was hit from behind on Kings Highway and pushed forward nearly 50 yards. Pierce was driving a Pontiac and eas struck by a Mercedes driven by Antonio G. Posadas, 30, of Englewood.
According to an FHP report, at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday a 2012 Mercedes GLK-350 heading east on Kings Highway failed to stop in the left lane and hit a 2006 Pontiac G6 that was stopped in the lane.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Posadas will face charges.
