Bradenton Man Critically Injured In Lakewood Ranch Crash
A two-vehicle accident in Lakewood Ranch critically injured a Bradenton man Friday
According to the Florida Highway Patrol the accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. after the driver of a pick up truck allegedly drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle on State Road 64 east of Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
Heading westbound, the injured motorist was in the left turn lane at the entrance to Publix.
The other driver who sustained minor injuries in the crash gave the following account of the incident: the other man dove up, brought is vehicle to a stop and then drove into his path causing the accident. The driver of the pick up truck had braked hard and turned to avoid the collision but was unable to prevent the crash.
FHP reported the collision that occurred resulted in the car being spun violently.
The driver of the pick-up truck braked and tried to swerve around the injured man’s vehicle, but did not avoid a collision.
Neither party was wearing their seat belts and no passengers were in either vehicle.
