Motorcycle Accident Kills North Port Man
The North Port Fire Department reported a man died as a result of a serious motorcycle accident at 6:15 p.m. in North Port.
The Motorcyclist, 36-year-old Adam M. Duffey, was killed when he lost control of his bike after he hit a curb while negotiation a turn. The impact threw him from the motorcycle where he struck a fire hydrant suffering fatal injuries.
The accident occurred northbound on Panacea Boulevard. Not wearing a helmet, Duffy skidded his yellow 2001 Yamaha motorcycle across the road prior to hitting the curb violently. The momentum threw both rider and bike into the hydrant where he was pronounced dead by first responders.
