Car Crash On U.S. 301 In Sarasota Cause Injury and Delay
A traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of 12th street and 301 in Sarasota is under investigation by the Sarasota Police.
Officials stated a man was hit by a car while trying to cross U.S. 301 on the southbound lanes The injured man, Mario Renteria, 22 of Sarasota was life-flighted to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for emergency treatment.
Traffic was delayed for two hours while members of the Sarasota Police department investigated the crash scene.
As of this time, no further word on the driver of the vehicle has been released and polic are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the accident to contact Office Forrister of the Sarasota Police Department at 941-587-8289.
