Swamp Buggy Flips Killing One In in Manatee

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday night a man was killed when a swamp buggy turned over in water.

The report filed by the Sheriff’s office stated that the accident occurred on private land when a group of people were riding a swamp buggy. The buggy entered a pond and then turned over killing James Dixon, 32, of Verna Bethany Road in Manatee County.

Apparently all of the other passengers escaped from the submerged vehicle without injury but Dixon never surfaced.

Dixon’s body was brought up by divers from the Manatee county sheriff’s office
