Two Killed in Separate Motorcycle Crashes
In two separate incidents motorcycle accidents prove fatal for a Sarasota motorcyclist and a North Port motorcyclist. Both accidents were single vehicle crashes.
The first announced by authorities occurred at Palmer blvd and Florida highway patrol also reported another fatal motorcycle accident on I-75 near River road.
Details of the Palmer road crash are reported as follows:
Ernest B. Bowery, 60, of Sarasota was riding a new Harley Davidson east on Palmer blvd. heading toward the Debrecen Rd. intersection and for reasons unknown ran off the road at a right turn and struck a mailbox. The speed of the collision threw Bowery from his bike killing him.
The I-75 accident happened when Robert Warfield, of North Port was heading south in the slow lane of interstate 75 in between the River Rd and Sumter Blvd. FHP stated Warfield lost control of the motorcycle causing him to ride onto the shoulder and strike the guardrail. The collision threw Warfield from his motorcycle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
