Car Crash Kills Man In North Port
North Port City Police reported a fatal accident Sunday night near the intersection of Parade Terrace and Parlay Lane.
The accident occurred around 10:15 in the evening when a 2000 Honda Civic driven by Emanuel Wright was traveling at high speed on Parley Lane.
For reasons unknown Wright swirved off the road drove up an embankment and crashed into a boulder at speed.
Police reported that the speed of the collision caused sever injuries to Wright. A chopper flew Wright for treatment at Blake Medical center but the medical staff was unable to save him from the fatal injuries sustained in the violent collision.
Additionally North Port Police also stated that alcohol was possibly a factor but did not know if it may have caused the accident.
