I-75 Site Of Hit and Run Accident

Florida Highway Patrol is on the look out for the driver of a red Honda that struck a car on I-75 and then fled the scene.

The accident occurred on Interstate 75 at mile marker 199 on the southbound lanes. Apparently after colliding with a 1988 Buick driven by a man from Venice Florida the driver of the Honda turned off their headlights and drove away.

The actual collision happened when the driver of the Honda was trying to pass the Buick on the shoulder and ended up side-swiping the car. Damage was done to the Buick but fortunately not injures were reported.
