Car Accident On Bee Ridge Road at I-75 Injures Five

Bee Ridge Road Card Crash MapFlorida Highway Patrol reported that three children and five adults were hurt during a car crash close to I-75 early Tuesday.

The car accident occurred  when a late model Honda Civic when the driver decided to run a yellow light at the entrance to the Interstate-75 on ramp and collided with a Lexus IS 300.

Witnesses reported to FHP troopers that the light had been yellow for a while when the driver, Patty Jo Denney, 47 of Sarasota ran the light crossed in front of oncoming traffic and crashed into the Lexus. Both the driver of the Lexus and the five-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Doctors Hospital for treatment. Patty Jo Denney was seriously injured and taken to Blake Medical Center, the two passengers a thirteen year old and seventeen year old only suffered minor injuries and were taken to Doctors Hospital.
