Pickup Truck Crash Kills Diver From Palmetto

Palmetto Police announced the driver of a pickup truck was killed when the 2006 Chevrolet pick up truck drove off the road crashed into several obstacles  and caught fire.

According to authorities the crash occurred when the driver was nearing 7th St West on 10th Ave West prior to 11 in the morning on Wednesday.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the accident victim.

Police reported witnesses accounts that said the truck ran off the road just before entering the intersection, ran over the curb and headed into a park where the truck crashed into several obstacles including two signs and 3 trees. The last collision with a sign stopped the truck where it burst into flames. The driver of the pick up truck died at the scene.

The Palmetto Police Department are investigating the crash.
