Port Charlotte Car Crash Injurs On Veterans Blvd.

A car accident in Port Charlotte resulted in 3 people injured Sunday Night. Authorities said one man was in critical condition and two others in serious condition after the accident.

Florida Highway Patrol reported that the driver of a Honda Civic, Unica A. Desir, 19, of Port Charlotte, crossed a turf median while heading east on Veterans Blvd. The Honda collided with a 1994 Jeep Wrangler heading west. The driver of the Civic was taken to Lee Medical Center for treatment. Police stated it was not known why Desir drove across the median.

The driver and the passenger of the Jeep Wrangler were seriously injured in the collision. Joddi Edwards of Englewood was taken to Lee Medical Center and Jason Bosley was taken to Peace River Medical Center in serious condition.

FHP reported that alcohol was not a factor in the accident and Desir has been charged with failure to use due care.
