North Port Motorcycle Crash Injures Two Riders

 A man and woman are in critical and serious medical condition after a motorcycle accident on Sumter Road in North Port that happened Friday.

Officials from the North Port PD reported that the accident occurred when the pair was riding a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle heading north on Sumter Blvd when the driver of the bike, Richard Leftwich, 48 from Sarasota hit a curb and lost control of the motorcycle. Both  Leftwich and his passenger Chelsie Able were thrown from the motorcycle and sustained injuries from the impact.

The injured pair was then flown by helicopter to Blake Medical Center for treatment.
No charges have as of yet been filed by North Port police are still investigating the accident.
