Port Charlotte Motorcyclist Killed In Commercial Van Accident
Florida Highway patrol reported that Friday afternoon a motorcyclist from Port Charlotte was killed in on Charlotte County roads in an accident with a delivery van.
The accident happened when the driver of the Freightliner delivery truck, Curtis Wayne Sanders from Punta Gorda, turned left from David Boulevard onto Dayton Lane crossing in front of motorcyclist Andrew Price, a twenty four year old from Port Charlotte.
Price was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle and was unable to avoid the Van. The motorcycle hit the right rear of the van and Price was ejected from the Kawasaki.
First responders took Price to Peace River Medical Center wear medical staff pronounced him dead.
Price was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and an investigation is ongoing.
