A Woman From Bradenton Hurt In Single Car Crash
Florida Highway Patrol reported a woman was seriously injured after falling asleep at the wheel causing a car crash early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred when the driver of a Honda Civic heading west on state road 70 feel asleep just before 5a.m. After the driver, Ashly Stuart a 22 year old from Bradenton was unconscious the car drifted into the eastbound lanes and hit a curb, struck a mailbox drove onto the sidewalk and finally was stopped after crashing into a utility pole and spinning to block the eastbound lanes.
Authorities took Stuart to Blake Medical Center for treatment and reported that she was not wearing her seat belt.
