Palmetto Senior Killed In Scooter Crash

Florida Highway Patrol Announced that Sally Dudley, a 74-year old from Palmetto woman was killed in a traffic accident.

The fatal crash took place when the 74 year old was attempting to cross U.S. 41 at 23rd Street East on her motorized scooter. While in the intersection Dudley was struck by a Mercury Marquis.

Apparently the driver of the car, Tammie McCullogh a 50 year old from Palmetto was also trying to cross the U.S. 41 from 23rd Street East but reported to Police that she did not see Dudley on her scooter and struck the scooter with the front of here car.

Police charged McCullogh with failing due car around a pedestrian.
