Pickup vs Tractor-Trailer Crash Leaves Bradenton Man Seriously Injured
The Manatee County Sheriffs Office reported a man from Bradenton was seriously after being involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer Saturday.
The accident happened at 6 a.m. when a semi, driven by Robert Vycnk, a 46 year old from Bradenton was heading west on SR 70. As the truck traveled just east of Uihhlein Road a pick up truck swirved from the east bound lanes into the path of the tractor-trailer. Vycnk attempted to avoid the collision by steering onto the shoulder and into the grass beside the road. However the pickup crashed into the trailer on left side then came to rest after colliding with a fence.
The driver of the pick up truck, Nathan Bois was taken to Blake Medical Center with a serious injury to his arm and his passenger, Justyn Smith, a 21 year old from Bradenton suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the semi was not injured and due to his actions a more serious head on collision was avoided.
Manatee County Sheriff’s office stated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing seat belts during the crash and that test were being done to determine if alchohol was a factor in the crash.
