Motorcyclist Killed In Bradenton Crash

According to Bradenton Police, a car vs. motorcycle accident ended with the death of a sixty-two year old man Sunday morning in Bradenton.

Police reported that Lois Grossi was riding his Harley Davidson Electra-Glide  heading east on 30th Ave East closing on the intersection with 4th Street East just after 5:30 in the morning when the driver of a Honda SUV attempted to turn left, placing the SUV directly in front of Grossi’s path.

Grossi, and experienced motorcyclist turned sharply to avoid the collision but the SUV was simply too close. The Harley slid out from under Grossi and collided with the SUV at speed.

The force of the collision was enough to fatally wound Grossi, and inflict minor injuries in the driver of the SUV, Anna Woodard a fifty-year-old from Sarasota as well as her passenger.

Woodward will be charged with failure to yield right of way.
