Motorcycle Accident In Port Charlotte Kills Man And Injures Two
Florida Highway Patrol announced a death and multiple injured people resulting from a rare collision between two motorcycles.
The motorcycle crash took place just before 1:20 when the rider of a 2001 Harley, Timothy Dudley swirved in front of another rider on County Road 769 in Desoto County. The other rider was Port Charlotte man Timothy Schneider also riding a Harley Davidson.
Dudley miss-judged and the two motorcycles collided near by SW Peace River Street.
Schneider was taken to an area hospital reportedly with serious injures, Dudley and his passenger were flown to Lee Memorial for treatment where Dudley died from trauma sustained in the accident. Dudley’s passenger Rosemary Aresta a 49 year old from Punta Gorda was listed in serious condition also at Lee Memorial.
Troopers said that both Dudley and Aresta were not wearing helmets during the crash.
