Son Takes Dad’s Car Gets Into 4 Accidents Before Crashing Into A Power Pole
Manatee County Sheriffs office reported a fifteen year old boy drove off with father’s car causing 4 crashes in Bradenton.
The Sheriff’s office stated that deputies approached the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash in Bradenton at First Street East and U.S. 301 when the driver of the car took off as the officer came to speak to the drivers.
The Sheriff’s office deputy pursued the driver of the car heading south until the driver crashed into a power pole in the 5100 block of 15th Street East.
At the crash scene the deputy discovered the hit-and-run driver was a fifteen year old boy. The boy was injured in the accident and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s office then learned of three other crashes caused by the fifteen year old. One of the crashes also in Bradenton, injured a 38-year old that was taken to the hospital for treatment. The other accidents had not resulted in injuries or they were not reported.
Both the boy and his father has stated the boy took the car without permission. The Manatee Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident.
