A crash with injuries temporarily blocked the south lanes on I-75 Tuesday
Florida Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place mid morning just after 7:00 a.m. at mile marker 222.
The report stated a pickup that was parked on the shoulder of the median along the southbound lanes attempted to enter the highway in left lane but pulled directly into the oncoming path of a truck.
Jacinto Hernandez, 41, of Pinellas Park, the driver of the parked pickup truck, along with the passengers in the truck suffered minor injuries in the collision.
J. Cruz Mendoza, a fifty year old from Immokalee, who was driving on 75 and crashed into the pick up truck was also injured in the crash.
Troopers stated Hernandez had been sited for improper change of lane and also cited for pulling out in front of a vehicle.
