Manatee County Hit And Run Leaves One Critically Injured
Florida Highway Patrol announced a woman was critically injured from a hot and run crash on State Rd 39 in Manatee County.
The incident happened when Kimara Shynett, a twenty one year old from Plant City was in the southbound lane of State Road 39 and had stopped at the intersection of SR 39 and State Road 62.
Shynett began a left turn and as she entered the intersection was struck by an F-150 Ford Pick Up truck heading east on State Road 62.
The pick up truck crashed into the left front of the Nissan Shynett was driving.
After coming to a halt the driver of the F-150 along with 3 passengers got out and fled the scene on foot. Police from the Manatee County Sheriff’s department were unable to find the driver and passenger of the truck after searching the area.
Shynett was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton and listed as critical condition.
