Triple-Vehicle Crash On I-75 Injures Three In Sarasota

Florida Highway Patrol reported a crash with injuries on I-75 near Clark Road in Sarasota.

The accident was a triple-vehicle chain-reaction car crash in the southbound lanes that caused the drivers of all three vehicles to sustain minor injuries. The crash took places as Traffic on I-75 slowed sharply approaching the Clark road exit and motorist Brittany Pecora from Sarasota, was unable to slow down enough to avoid crashing into the vehicle in front of her.

Pecora’s Suzuki crashed into a Lexus, driven by Susan O’Toole a 50 year old from Sarasota. The force of the crash propelled the Lexus into the back of a Cadillac driven by Pamela Farrara who was slowing her vehicle down to exit the freeway.

The drivers of all three vehicles sustained minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The crash caused a significant traffic delay on I-75. Troopers cited Pecora for careless driving.
