Car Accident On 40th Street In Tampa Killes One

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a car crash at 40th Street Sunday.

The crash took place shortly after 3 in the afternoon on the private property of Schwend, Inc. after a car apparently speeding down 40th Street crashed through a fence at the perimeter of the property and smashed into the back of a trailer.

The car was carrying three occupants including a 12-year old boy, an adult male and a woman. The female was killed by the force of the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a middle aged man was taken to Tampa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The 12-year old was released after treatment of minor injures.

All occupant of the car were wearing seatbelts during the crash, however none of the occupants have been identified yet.
