Charlotte County Crash Injures Punta Gorda Woman
FHP stated a woman was injured in a single vehicle crash in Charlotte County.
The accident happened when Bettina McMahon, a forty-five year old from Punta Gorda was driving her Ford Mustang eastbound on Oil Well Road.
Just before 8:30a.m. as McMahon approached the intersection with Catfish Road, McMahon lost control of her car. The car swerved across the westbound lane, drove off the road, crashed through a fence before coming to rest in a ditch where trees finally stopped the vehicle.
McMahon was flown to a trauma center for treatment of serious injuries.
