University Parkway Motorcycle Crash Kills Rider
Florida Highway Patrol reported a deadly motorcycle accident on University Parkway Sunday evening.
The fatal crash began when motorist, seventy four year old Richard Fleishman was headin west on University Parkway in his Toyota Camry closing on University Parkway and Honore.
At the same time twenty three year old Sarasota motorcyclist Quintin Clark was riding his Honda CBR 600 east on University Parkway also approaching the intersection of University and Honore.
As both vehicles closed on the intersection Fleishman attempted to turn left from University parkway onto Honore, running a red light Fleishman drove his car directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
Clark had no time to react and crashed into the sedan. The impact knocked him down onto the roadway and he continued to slide on the pavement for some time.
First responders pronounced Clark dead at the scene. Clark had been wearing a helmet during the crash. As of yet charges have not been filed on Fleishman.
