Nokomis Motorcycle Crash Injures Man From North Port
FHP reported a motorcyclist was in critical condition after a crash on US 41 in Nokomis.
The accident took place when a man only identified as a twenty-three year old from North Port, rode a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on U.S. 41 at roughly six in the morning.
Shortly after the motorcyclist passed Sorrento Inlets Drive he did not follow a curve in the road, instead rode directly into the adjacent lane causing him to crash into the rear of a Chrysler Sebring.The force of the collision threw the Man from his motorcycle onto the roadway where he was struck by a Nissan Rogue SUV.
The motorcyclist who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash was critically injured and flown to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Neither the driver of the Sebring, fifty-six year old Kimberly Dayton of Nokomis, nor the driver of the Nissan, forty-eight year old Melody Pruitt were hurt in the crash.
