Bradenton Three-Vehicle Crash Seriously Injures Woman
FHP announced an eighty year old woman was in serious condition after being injured in a 3-vehicle crash on U.S. 41.
The crash took place as eighty year old Bradenton resident Catherine McCarthy attempted to cross U.S. 41 at Orlando Avenue. A roughly 2:30 in the afternoon, McCarthy was proceeded into the north bound lanes from the turn lane at Orlando avenue.
As McCarthy entered U.S. 41 in her 2011 GMC Terrain she drove directly into the path of an oncoming car driven by 19 year old Rodolfo Garcia, also of Bradenton.
The force of the crash pushed McCarthy’s SUV into another direction where is was struck by 52 year old Ronnie Tacle’s Nissan Frontier pick up truck.
Both Tacle and Garcia sustained minor injuries, McCarthy was seriously injured and transported to Blake Medical Center.
McCarthy was cited for causing the crash.
