Crash On Singletary Road Injures Three

FHP reports two people have been seriously injured as a result of a traffic accident on Singletary Road in Manatee County.

The accident took place as sixty-two year old Bradenton resident Jack May drove his Nissan Rogue eastbound. At roughly fifteen minutes before 2:00 p.m. May attempted to make a left turn into a driveway at 34075 Singletary Road.

At the same time twenty year old Ross Nelson from Bradenton was driving westbound on Singletary Road in a Dodge Ram pick up truck.

May turned directly into the path of the oncoming pick up truck and the two vehicles collided.

Both driver, Jack May and passenger sixty one year old Lynda May were seriously injured in the crash and taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Nelson, who sustained minor injuries in the accident, was taken to Lake wood Ranch Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities stated May has been charged with failing to yield right of way.
