U.S. 41 Crash Seriously Injured Bradenton Woman
FHP troopers reported a three-car traffic accident that seriously injured an elderly woman from Bradenton.
At roughly 2:30 in the afternoon, eighty year old Catherine McCarthy was waiting in the left turn lane of the Orlando Avenue U.S. 41 intersection in her 2011 GMC Terrain.
At the same time nineteen year old Rodolfo Garcia was approaching in a car and fifty-two year old Ronny Tacle was heading toward the intersection in a Nissan Frontier pick up truck. McCarthy proceeded into the intersection attempting to cross the road and driving directly into the path of the oncoming car driven by Garcia.
Garcia and McCarthy’s vehicles crashed into each other and the force of the impact redirected McCarthy’s SUV causing it to crash into Tacle’s Nissan pick up.
McCarthy suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Blake Medical center for treatment. Both Garcia and Tacle suffered minor injuries and were taken to are hospitals.
