Sarasota Crash Kills One At Constitution Blvd.
Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident a in Sarasota at Tamiami Trail and Constitution Boulevard.
The crash took place as twenty year old Terry Moreland was driving north on U.S. 41 in a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck approaching the intersection with Constitution Blvd., at 3:53p.m.
At the same time sixty three year old Eealnor Grochowski driving a 2004 Acura TL was southbound in the left turn lane of U.S. 41 at the intersection with Constitution blvd.
Grochowski proceeded to turn left heading eastbound across U.S. 41 toward Constitution Blvd., but drove directly into the path of the oncoming pickup truck.
The Ram pickup crashed into the right front of the Acura forcing the smaller car into the shoulder and partially blocking traffic on U.S. 41.
Grochowski died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Moreland was not hurt during the collision.
