Sarasota Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Bradenton Motorist
Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal motorcycle crash on U.S. 41.
The accident happened as Sarasota motorcyclist, forty-one year old Mathew Knight was riding a motorcycle southbound on U.S. 41, approaching the intersection with Bayshore Drive.
At roughly the same time thirty-one year old driver Paul Watkins was eastbound on Bayshore drive approaching the intersection with U.S. 41.
Approximately six minutes after noon, Watkins turned left onto U.S. 41 from Bayshore and directly into the path of the oncoming motorcyclist.
Knight collided with Watkins vehicle and sustained severe injuries. First responders transported Knight to Venice Regional Hospital. Knight later died from his injuries.
